Actor Uzor Arukwe has spoken out about a rumor that has been circulating online, claiming he is gay.
The actor, although surprised by the speculation, took the opportunity to express his deep affection and support for his gay friends, clarifying that he is not gay himself.
In a candid interview, Arukwe shared that he has many friends in the LGBTQ+ community, both male and female, who are important to him.
He made it clear that he holds no prejudice against them and loves them deeply. However, he also firmly stated that he wouldn’t pretend to be something he’s not.
“I’m not gay, but I love my gay friends to death,” he explained. “They’re my people, and I have nothing against them. But I won’t agree to something that isn’t true about me.”
He also mentioned that if he were gay, he would openly embrace it, adding, “If it were my sexuality, I’d own it and be one of the hottest around. I’d own it with my full chest.”
The actor admitted that the most shocking part of the rumor was the mention of a supposed boyfriend.
Despite the unexpected twist, Arukwe took the situation in stride, seeing it as a sign that he’s making an impact in the industry.
He ended by saying, “When rumors like this start, it means you’ve ‘blown.’ But for me, let God judge.” Arukwe’s response reflects his commitment to living authentically and supporting the LGBTQ+ community, regardless of the rumors.
