Regina Daniels Hints at Retirement, Reflects on Life and Marriage Turmoil
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has hinted at the possibility of retiring from acting as she marks nearly two decades in the Nigerian movie industry.
In a recent post on Instagram, the mother of two reflected on her career journey, expressing both pride and exhaustion. “It’s crazy that in two years, this youngin is gonna be 20 years in the public eye.
As beautiful as that sounds, truthfully, it’s shocking, tiring, but feels fulfilling,” she wrote. “But can someone tell me why I’m thinking of retiring and fully embracing my glamma era?”
Her post came amid reports of tension in her marriage to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko. Regina recently accused her estranged husband of ordering the arrest of her siblings, an allegation that stirred public concern and speculation about her wellbeing.
Fans have since reacted strongly to her remarks, with many urging her to speak out about her situation and seek help. Some expressed worry about her emotional health, while others advised her to focus on peace and rebuilding her life.
The actress’ comments appear to signal a desire to step away from the spotlight to focus on family and personal healing. Although she has not confirmed whether her decision to retire is final, her words suggest a turning point in both her professional and personal life.
Regina’s brother, Swezzy, has also spoken up, dismissing rumours that she took an oath before marrying Nwoko. In a social media post, he described the claims as baseless, insisting that “nothing like a stupid oath” ever happened.
The public exchange between the actress and her family members has further fueled speculation about the state of her marriage. Regina has previously denied accusations of drug use, accusing her husband of trying to tarnish her reputation.
As the drama unfolds, fans continue to show support for the actress, hoping she finds stability after a turbulent period in her personal life.
