NIGERIA: Wike Expresses Remorse for Requesting Obuah and Others to Step Aside in Support of Fubara.

In a surprising turn of events, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, reveals his regret for persuading former PDP Chairman Felix Obuah and other governorship aspirants to step down for Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Wike, speaking at a thanksgiving service organized by Obuah, seeks forgiveness from the people of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area for not supporting Fubara’s bid to succeed him. Despite acknowledging Obuah’s support, Wike admits to denying him the desired opportunity and apologizes for the decision. The former governor emphasizes the importance of admitting mistakes and pledges to learn from this experience.
