APC Women Leaders Protest Neglect by Tinubu Administration

The forum of 37 State Women Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) expressed discontent over their exclusion from post-election rewards, receiving only one bag of rice and a wrapper after the 2023 general election.

During a visit to the party secretariat in Abuja, they voiced their grievances to APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, highlighting the lack of federal appointments and recognition despite their significant contributions to President Bola Tinubu’s victory.

Forum President, Mrs. Patricia Yakubu, stressed the importance of involving women leaders in party affairs, citing their grassroots influence. Despite their frustrations, the forum passed a vote of confidence in Ganduje’s leadership, urging better inclusion in government programs and appointments. Ganduje assured that their concerns would be addressed and emphasized ongoing efforts to include more women in governance.
