BBNaija Season 10 Winner, Imisi, Receives ₦150 Million Prize Amid Cheers and Celebration in Lagos

The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, Opeyemi “Imisi” Ayanwale, on Tuesday received her ₦150 million grand prize at an official presentation ceremony in Lagos, sealing her victory in the reality TV show’s landmark “10/10 Edition.”

The event, attended by Multichoice Nigeria executives, brand sponsors, and the show’s host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, was filled with jubilation as the 23-year-old actress and fashion designer from Oyo State was handed a cheque of ₦80 million in cash and the keys to a brand-new Innoson SUV.

Dressed in a vibrant red outfit, Imisi stood before cheering fans as cameras captured her radiant smile beside her ribbon-wrapped car — an image that quickly dominated social media platforms under the trending tags #ImisiTheQueen and #BBNaija10Winner.

Since its debut in 2006, Big Brother Naija has evolved into Nigeria’s biggest reality television franchise, known for blending entertainment, youth culture, and celebrity creation.

Each season transforms everyday Nigerians into overnight stars while attracting massive sponsorship deals and social media buzz across the continent.

The Season 10 edition, themed “10/10”, ran for 72 days and featured 29 contestants competing for fame, fortune, and fan loyalty. The edition was celebrated for its intense emotional turns, strategic gameplay, and socially charged themes that reflected contemporary Nigerian youth culture.

Imisi’s journey through the Big Brother house was defined by calm confidence and emotional maturity. Over the weeks, she developed a reputation for being empathetic yet strong — a combination that endeared her to millions of viewers.

She eventually clinched victory with 42.8% of total votes, leaving her closest rivals — Dede (15.94%) and Koyin (15.23%) — far behind. Her consistent authenticity, according to fans and commentators, was the secret to her success in a season filled with rivalry, tension, and alliances.

Her triumph has been hailed as one of the most convincing wins in recent BBNaija history, though online conversations continue about her perceived “pity vote” strategy — a recurring debate among fans over how emotional storylines influence voting outcomes.

The prize presentation came two days after an emotional finale that saw housemates reunite and reflect on their journey. Viral videos captured touching scenes — notably when evicted contestant Isabella Georgewill reunited with her young son, Jason, in a moment that melted hearts online.

Other housemates such as Dede, Kaybobo, Thelma, Mensan, Koyin, and Gigi Jasmine were also spotted at a reunion gathering at the Multichoice studio, celebrating the conclusion of what many described as “a life-changing experience.”

For Imisi, the victory represents not just fame and fortune but a platform for greater impact. In her brief remark, she thanked her supporters and described the experience as “a dream that tested my strength and shaped my heart.”
