Government has announced that it will soon start to bar unvaccinated public service workers from entering government buildings, beginning mid November.
In a Sunday notice, cabinet urged all workers to be vaccinated or take a weekly Covid test in order to have access into government buildings.
Additionally, cabinet allowed the opening up of bathrooms in mosques, which were closed last year in March in government’s bid to contain the spread of the pandemic.
The government has also allocated a billion Egyptian pounds to address the pandemic, BBC.
According to the Egypt’s health ministry, the country has so far administered over 30 million Covid-19 vaccine doses out of a population of more than 100 million people.
