
Buwenge,Jinja, Uganda | On June 30, 2025, the General Manager of Jinja National Water and Sewerage Corporation (JNWSC) met with community leaders in Buwenge to address the pressing issue of low water supply in the area. The engagement aimed at offering clarity, building trust, and strengthening the partnership between JNWSC and the local community.
During the meeting, the General Manager provided a detailed briefing on the challenges affecting water distribution and shared the Corporation’s immediate and long-term strategies to stabilize and improve water supply in Buwenge. He was accompanied by the technical team, who responded to specific concerns raised by the community leaders and explained the ongoing technical interventions.
This open and transparent dialogue was well-received by the leaders and residents alike. It significantly restored confidence among customers, many of whom had expressed concerns over the irregular water supply. The session helped to erase fears and reinforced the Corporation’s commitment to delivering reliable services.
