Veteran actor and lawyer, Kenneth Okonkwo, has confidently asserted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will face its final defeat in the 2027 general elections, as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) leads a newly-formed coalition of opposition parties poised to reshape Nigeria’s future.

Speaking at a strategic coalition meeting, Okonkwo emphasized that this alliance is driven not by a quest for power, but by a commitment to prioritizing the well-being of Nigerians.

Referring to the ADC as a “party of light,” Okonkwo declared that the organization is ready to guide Nigeria out of the “darkness” of corruption and mismanagement, which he attributes to the ruling APC. He stressed that the coalition’s primary mission is to focus on the nation’s peace, prosperity, and the collective welfare of its citizens.

He highlighted the ADC’s motto, “In pursuit of the welfare of our people and the nation,” signaling a break from the failed political practices of the past.

Okonkwo, an active participant in Nigerian political discussions, addressed concerns about former APC and PDP members joining the coalition, insisting that those who failed to deliver during their time in power are now facing the consequences. He emphasized that these past mistakes would serve as crucial lessons for future leadership.

Regarding the potential inclusion of Peter Obi as a candidate within the coalition, Okonkwo reaffirmed his dedication to coalition politics, declaring that party loyalty had become secondary in the pursuit of national unity and progress. “This is now the time for the coalition, not for individual parties,” he said.

Okonkwo also assured Nigerians that the ADC had carefully vetted its members to prevent any infiltration from APC loyalists, warning that anyone attempting to undermine the coalition’s integrity would be swiftly dealt with.

In his closing remarks, Okonkwo predicted the imminent collapse of the APC, citing internal conflicts and its failure to address Nigeria’s economic challenges, insecurity, and governance issues. “Soon, APC members will be in hiding, as the shame they will face will silence them,” Okonkwo concluded.Attach
