The veteran politician, fondly called “Baba” by his supporters, passed away at the age of 80 while receiving medical treatment in India.
His death was confirmed on Wednesday morning, October 15, just days after reports had circulated online about his deteriorating health which his family had earlier dismissed, assuring the public that he was responding to treatment.
