Bishop Irabor Wisdom of Answers Assembly Church has issued a strong call to action to prominent pastors, including Adebayo and Oyedepo, to unite against Pastor Abel Damina’s controversial sermons.
Damina, who leads Abel Damina Ministries International, has sparked widespread debate with his teachings that denounce the traditional focus on tithes and offerings. His message, which criticizes the idea of ‘bribing God’ with donations, has resonated with millions but threatens the financial foundations of many Nigerian churches.
Bishop Wisdom, in a passionate Facebook post, described Damina as the “father of all rebels” and accused him of promoting an agenda that could undermine the Christian faith in Nigeria. He urged church leaders to redirect their energy from internal disputes to combating the influence of Damina’s teachings, warning that failure to do so could lead to a significant loss of followers and a weakening of their ministries.
