‘Sex Toy Can Help Marriage’ — Apostle Explains His Position [VIDEO]
Apostle Joshua Aghasedo of Powerline Church has drawn attention with his views on the use of sex toys within marriage, saying such items should not automatically be considered sinful when used by married couples.
Aghasedo shared his position while speaking to his congregation, with the remarks captured in an attached video.
The clergyman likened sex toys to other forms of technology that people use to make everyday activities easier.
He argued that their purpose should be considered within the context in which they are used.
“Is using a sex toy a sin? Is driving a car a sin? Using the phone, is it a sin?” he asked.
Aghasedo said modern technology had produced different forms of equipment capable of assisting people and argued that married couples could similarly make use of appropriate aids.
“In this modern day of technology, it’s an equipment. It can help you do the job to 90%, and you finish the remaining 10%,” he said.

He was, however, emphatic that his comments were directed at married couples and should not be taken as an endorsement of their use outside marriage.
The apostle also disclosed that he had previously suggested such an option to a married couple after considering the circumstances surrounding their relationship.
“I have suggested sex toy to a couple before when I look at all the surrounding circumstances, so that somebody won’t go out and other things would follow,” he said.
His remarks have opened up debate over how religious teachings should address modern technology and changing conversations around intimacy within marriage.
While opinions differ on the subject, Aghasedo’s comments were presented as his own religious interpretation of the issue.
