NIGERIA: Investigative Probe Reveals Falsified Honorary Doctorates Awarded to Nollywood Celebrities from Benin Republic Universities

Investigative journalist Umar Audu uncovered a trend where Nigerian celebrities, including Alexx Ekubo, Mike Ezuruonye, IK Ogbonna, Hilda Dokubo, and Ireti Doyle, were awarded honorary doctorate degrees from universities in Benin Republic.

These degrees, conferred in fields like Arts, Literature, Leadership, and Development, were later revealed to be part of a fake results syndicate uncovered by Audu. The actors, publicizing their honors on social media, are now among those implicated in this controversial expose.
