Sharing his wish to pass away without illness, ideally on a Sunday after enjoying a special meal of pounded yam, he emphasized that one doesn’t need sickness to ascend to Heaven. Encouraging a holy life, Adeboye prayed for a peaceful death for all and highlighted the significance of God determining the timing and manner of departure. With immense respect among his followers, known as “Daddy GO,” Adeboye has led RCCG since 1981, a prominent Pentecostal church globally.
