Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has blamed the deaths of 35 people in accidents in Kogi and Enugu states on the poor road infrastructure and insecurity under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Obi called for prioritizing internal road development over the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Superhighway project, citing the need to address essential areas. The accidents, which occurred on Sunday and Tuesday, claimed 19 and 16 lives, respectively. Obi extended condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, emphasizing the need for improved road conditions and security.
