Nigeria’s Blessing CEO Sparks Stir with Surprise Breakup Post on IVD
Nigerian relationship coach and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, once again set the internet abuzz after announcing a shocking breakup with her fiancé, Ikechukwu Ogbonna (IVD) — only to later reveal that it was all a publicity stunt.
The announcement, shared on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, came as a surprise to fans who had been anticipating the couple’s highly publicised wedding. In her initial post, Blessing CEO declared that her relationship with the celebrity auto dealer was over, sending social media into a wave of speculation and debate.
However, hours later, she took to the same platform to clarify that the breakup post was intentional — a test of her “touch of controversy” and ability to command attention online.
“I was losing my touch of controversy, so I decided to test it again. I still got the magic. No be BlessingCEO again. Boo boo for life. They love bad news ooooo. Wedding loading,” she wrote.
The admission left many Nigerians reacting with mixed emotions — while some criticised her for chasing clout, others saw it as a clever publicity move by someone who understands how to stay relevant in the entertainment space.
Blessing CEO’s relationship with IVD has been a focal point of Nigerian entertainment discourse since 2023, largely because it followed a period of intense controversy. IVD, a popular auto dealer, had previously been in the spotlight following the death of his wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, a tragedy that drew nationwide attention and legal investigations.
During that time, Blessing CEO rose to further prominence after publicly defending IVD, a move that divided public opinion and drew heavy criticism from online communities. Despite the backlash, she remained unapologetic — and their relationship blossomed under the watchful eyes of Nigerians.
Known for her bold, no-filter personality and outspoken takes on relationships, Blessing CEO has often been described as a master of online controversy. Her ability to turn criticism into engagement has made her one of Nigeria’s most talked-about internet figures.
Her latest “breakup stunt” reinforces her image as a social media provocateur who understands how to manipulate headlines, fuel trends, and keep her brand in the conversation — whether for love, business, or relevance.
As fans continue to await updates on her “loading wedding,” Blessing CEO’s latest act has reignited conversations about the blurred lines between reality and performance in Nigeria’s influencer culture.
