South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a new cabinet lineup last evening, aiming to tackle the nation’s pressing challenges over the next five years. Notably, John Steenhuisen, leader of the Democratic Alliance (DA), has been appointed as the new Minister of Agriculture, marking a significant inclusion of opposition leadership in the executive team.
In a strategic reshuffle, Ramaphosa has removed Naledi Pandor from her position as the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, appointing Ronald Lamola to take over the role.
