A somber moment hit Big Brother Naija Season 10 as the death of a crew member, Ayotunde Elegbede, was officially confirmed by the show’s organisers.
The announcement was made during Sunday’s live eviction show by the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who revealed that Elegbede’s family had reached out to the production team with the heartbreaking news.
The confirmation came shortly after the season’s first eviction round, which saw two housemates leave the competition.
Danboskid was the first to be evicted. His departure was met with emotional support from the house, including a farewell hug from fellow housemate Zita, followed by the group’s traditional “three gbosa” cheer.
Shortly after, Ibifubara was announced as the second evictee of the evening.
Denari, whose name was also in the bottom list, managed to stay in the house based on viewer votes revealed after the evictions.
While the competition continues, the show’s cast and crew are now mourning the sudden loss of a colleague behind the scenes.
