Trump Issues Stark Warning to Iran as Fresh US Strikes Ignite Regional Tensions
US President Donald Trump has threatened overwhelming military action against Iran, saying the country could cease to exist if it continues to challenge the United States following a fresh round of American airstrikes.

The warning followed US attacks on several locations inside Iran, launched a day after Washington blamed Tehran for a drone strike on a commercial vessel navigating the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump said the United States had shown restraint but would not hesitate to escalate its response if necessary.
He warned that any decision to “finish the job” would have devastating consequences for Iran.
The exchange of attacks quickly spilled across the Gulf. Kuwaiti authorities said their air defence systems intercepted hostile missiles and drones, while Bahrain activated emergency sirens amid reports of incoming threats.
Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance maintained that the administration had already achieved one of its key objectives by severely damaging Iran’s nuclear programme.
He argued that whether or not diplomacy resumes, the United States remains in a stronger position.
In a separate announcement, Trump named veteran law enforcement officer Lance Schroyer as his choice to lead US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The president praised Schroyer’s long career in policing and military service, while Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said the nominee would help strengthen the administration’s immigration enforcement efforts.
