Health Minister Sylvia Masebo sent a stern warning to those in management of health facilities that keeping surroundings unclean will attract action from her office.
Speaking Monday after replacing the entire management at Matero Level-1 Hospital in Lusaka, Ms. Masebo said there was no excuse for health facilities to be surrounded by dirty environments further questioning the role of cleaners.
The Minister further directed provincial and district health directors to enhance their supervision.
Ms. Masebo’s reaction followed sharing of images of dirty toilets from a certain hospital posted on social media by Matero Constituency Member of Parliament Miles Sampa.
