Wilberforce Nadutey, a 43-year-old Ghanaian residing in the UK, has successfully reconnected with his family in Ghana after two decades, thanks to Facebook.
At a recent event in Osuwem, Shai Osudoku District, Nadutey recounted his journey of searching for his family since 1999. His quest began after his parents separated, leading him to consult an Ablao shrine in Osuwem, where rituals confirmed his background. However, he could not complete the task of returning with his mother due to his imminent departure to the UK.
Despite returning to Ghana in 2009, Nadutey failed to locate his family until January 2024 when he discovered Osudoku TV on Facebook. This discovery enabled him to reconnect with his family with the help of the social media channel. Nadutey praised social media for its role in reuniting him with his roots and highlighted its potential for positive change. He encouraged others to leverage platforms like Facebook, X, WhatsApp, TikTok, and Instagram for personal and community development.
