Carlo Ancelotti etched his name in history by becoming the manager with the most titles in Real Madrid’s storied legacy. His 15th trophy came on Wednesday, as his team cruised to a dominant 3-0 victory over Pachuca in the Intercontinental Cup, held at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.
In an interview with Telecinco, Ancelotti, visibly delighted, remarked, “There are so many of them (titles)! I’m delighted, really happy… it’s a success story.” He also praised his team, specifically Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe, noting their stellar performances. “Offensively we did well… We have a lot of quality,” he added.
This landmark achievement sees Ancelotti surpass the legendary Miguel Munoz, whom he had previously matched in August following a European Super Cup win. Ancelotti’s managerial career is nothing short of extraordinary. At 65, his resume is unrivaled: he has won prestigious titles across five of Europe’s top leagues, including three Champions League trophies and numerous domestic and international honors with Real Madrid.
Ancelotti’s success with Real Madrid isn’t just about titles but also the impact he has had on the club’s evolution.
