Arsenal’s title hopes have taken a major hit with Kai Havertz set to miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury suffered during the team’s training camp in Dubai.

This leaves Mikel Arteta’s squad without a fully fit recognized striker, already missing Gabriel Jesus due to a season-ending ACL injury.

“Everybody was saying you could afford to lose some, but you can’t afford to lose Kai Havertz,” said former Arsenal striker Alan Smith. The Gunners’ challenges are compounded by injuries to key players, including Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and the recent hamstring injury to Havertz.

The club’s failure to sign a forward during the January transfer window now looks like a costly decision as they struggle to mount a challenge to Premier League leaders, Liverpool.

The injury crisis has left Arteta with limited options up front, with Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri, and Raheem Sterling likely to fill the void in upcoming matches.

As the season progresses, Arsenal must navigate tricky fixtures, hoping their remaining players can rise to the challenge.
