Victor Osimhen has fueled speculation about his future after delivering a standout performance in Galatasaray’s Turkish Cup final victory. The Nigerian forward netted twice in a commanding 3-0 win over Trabzonspor on Wednesday, playing a pivotal role in securing the club’s 19th title in the competition.
Held in Gaziantep, the final saw Galatasaray take control early with a goal from Barış Alper Yılmaz, before Osimhen added two more in the 46th and 63rd minutes to put the result beyond doubt. His contribution capped off a dominant team performance and further highlighted his importance to the squad.
Following the match, the 26-year-old striker dropped a possible hint about his future plans. “I have to make a big decision at the end of the season,” he said. “I’m grateful for everything I’ve experienced here.” His remarks have since ignited rumors of a potential departure.
Osimhen’s campaign has been nothing short of remarkable. With his brace in the final, he surpassed Mario Jardel’s long-standing record for the most goals scored by a foreign player in a single season for Galatasaray—Jardel had set the mark with 34 goals during the 2000–2001 season.
The Super Eagles star also praised his teammates and the fans after the victory. “We’re thrilled. We fought hard from the first whistle to the last. The fans were amazing all night,” he said.
Despite his record-breaking form and silverware success, Osimhen’s comments have left supporters wondering whether the final may have marked the beginning of the end for his time in Istanbul. His next move remains uncertain—but all eyes will be on the summer transfer window.
