A High Court in Apo, Abuja, has remanded Senator Benson Konbowei of Bayelsa Central in Kuje Correctional Centre for allegedly forging a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate.
The Inspector General of Police accused him of fraudulently forging the document and charged him with offenses under the Penal Code Act. Despite pleading not guilty, the court granted him bail but ordered him to be remanded pending the fulfillment of bail conditions. The case is adjourned till June 24 for further hearings.
