In a historic moment for Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye has taken the oath of office this morning in Dakar, pledging to lead the nation with integrity and dedication to the people’s interests.

Standing before God and the Senegalese nation, President Faye vowed to faithfully fulfill his duties, uphold the constitution, and defend the nation’s institutions, territorial integrity, and independence.

His commitment to African unity echoed through the ceremony, promising to spare no effort in its pursuit.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by dignitaries from neighboring countries, including the presidents of Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and other representatives.

Thousands of supporters filled the hall, chanting slogans of peace and freedom as Senegal welcomed its youngest president at 44 years old.

As Bassirou Diomaye Faye assumes the presidency, Senegal stands poised for a new era under his leadership, marked by hope, unity, and progress for all citizens.
