Tension in Super Eagles Camp as Amokachi Refuses to Assist Finidi George

Tension has erupted within the Super Eagles camp just days before their 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa, as Daniel Amokachi has yet to report for duty.

Amokachi, named as one of Finidi George’s assistant coaches, reportedly rejected the contract offered by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), amidst rumors of discord between him and Finidi. NFF President Ibrahim Gusau dismissed claims of imposition, affirming that all assistant coaches were chosen by Finidi himself.
