Rev. Fr. Basil Gbuzue, a well-known Catholic priest, was kidnapped on May 15th along the Eke Nkpor-Obosi bypass.
The Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha announced the abduction and called for prayers for his safe release. Archbishop Valerian M. Okeke urged the faithful to pray for Fr. Gbuzue and assured that efforts are being made for his freedom.
The kidnappers have not contacted the Archdiocese or the priest’s family. Authorities are investigating the incident. The Catholic community is deeply distressed and united in prayer for his safe return.
