Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who ran as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in 2023, announced his intention to keep contesting for the presidency as long as he remains hale and hearty. Atiku, currently 77 years old, plans to run again in the 2027 elections.
Citing his love for the country and drawing inspiration from former US President Abraham Lincoln’s persistence, Atiku emphasized the need for the PDP to unite and collaborate with other political groups to secure victory.
