Davido Makes Rare Admission About His Marriage
Afrobeats star Davido has shared a rare insight into his marriage, opening up about the deep connection he shares with his wife, Chioma, and why their relationship remains one of the most important parts of his life.
The singer made the revelation during a livestream with popular streamer Davrel, where he spoke candidly about how he and Chioma stay close despite his hectic schedule and frequent travels.
According to Davido, speaking with his wife every day is a habit he has never abandoned. He said no matter where he is, he always finds time to call her, whether to discuss his day, share a funny meme or simply hear her voice.
“I talk to my wife every time, every day. She’s a part of me. I can’t live without her. Marry your best friend. Me, I love my wife,” the award-winning singer said.
Davido’s comments add to a series of public displays of affection that have drawn attention to the couple’s relationship.
During a recent trip to Las Vegas, he treated Chioma to a romantic date and shopping spree, while earlier this year he surprised her with flowers and a luxury Hermès crocodile handbag on Valentine’s Day.
The singer has also spoken in the past about the role Chioma has played in his life, revealing that she stood by him after his Grammy disappointment and has remained a source of encouragement throughout his career.
He has equally praised her for embracing his children and supporting him behind the scenes.
Davido and Chioma celebrated their white wedding in Miami on August 10, 2025, in a ceremony attended by several prominent figures from Nigeria’s entertainment, business and political circles.
