A tragic incident in a South Korean agricultural produce distribution center resulted in the death of a man in his 40s. While inspecting a robot’s sensor operations, the machine malfunctioned, mistakenly identifying the man as a box of produce. The robotic arm crushed the man’s upper body against a conveyor belt, leading to fatal injuries. This unfortunate event follows a similar incident in March involving a different robot at an automobile parts manufacturing plant, where a man in his 50s suffered serious injuries.
