Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has candidly revealed that, at 44, she has yet to experience true love—except for the unconditional love she feels for her son, Jamil.
In a heartfelt interview with Zeze Mills, Tiwa opened up about her past relationships, admitting that upon reflection, they were more about infatuation than genuine love. “Looking back, I realize none of my past relationships were true love. I thought I was in love, but it was more about infatuation. Even during my marriage, I don’t think I truly experienced what love is,” the singer explained.
Tiwa also shared her feelings of uncertainty about love, expressing that after trying so many times, she’s beginning to wonder if it’s simply not meant for her. “Maybe love isn’t for me. I’ve tried repeatedly, but perhaps in this lifetime, love is not my path,” she added.
The singer was previously married to her former manager, Tunji Balogun (Teebillz), in 2013. However, the couple divorced in 2018 after facing irreconcilable differences. They have a son, Jamil, from their union
