The US State Department has sealed a $2bn deal with Egypt to sale 12 military transport planes.
According to a BBC carried story, the deal includes air defence radar systems among other related equipment valued at $300m.
The US enters into a deal with Egypt weeks after President Joe Biden’s administration criticized the dominantly Muslim North African country for human rights abuse and violations.
Last year in September, the US withheld military aid worth $130m which had been budgeted for Egypt with Washington citing lack of political will to promote universal human rights.
