Mali Unleashes Deadly Airstrikes, Dozens of Terrorists Wiped Out in Multi-Region Blitz
Mali’s military has launched a sweeping aerial offensive across several regions, delivering a heavy blow to terrorist groups operating within its borders.
According to the army’s high command, the coordinated strikes resulted in the elimination of about 50 terrorists, while also destroying multiple vehicles, fuel reserves, and key logistics hubs used by the fighters.
One of the major operations took place in Dioura, where a concealed terrorist hideout was successfully targeted.
The site, hidden under thick vegetation, reportedly housed pick-up trucks, motorcycles, and a cache of fuel and ammunition.
Further strikes in Sévaré led to the neutralisation of dozens of militants and the destruction of transport vehicles and supply depots.
In a separate operation in Ménaka, troops carried out a decisive attack that completely dismantled an armed terrorist group.
Military authorities praised the troops for their determination, reaffirming their commitment to pursuing terrorist elements across the country until they are fully eradicated.
The intensified operations come as Mali faces a renewed surge in extremist and separatist attacks, particularly in its central and northern regions.
Recent coordinated assaults, including incidents near the capital, Bamako, have underscored the growing security challenges confronting the nation.
