Nigeria Buzzes as E-Money Makes Surprise Move After Carter Efe’s Dominant Win Over Portable
Popular businessman and socialite, Emeka Okonkwo, better known as E-Money, has fulfilled his promise to reward comedian and content creator Carter Efe with a whopping N50 million after his impressive victory against street-hop singer Portable.
The much-anticipated celebrity showdown took place at the fourth edition of Chaos in the Ring, held at Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
The bout, which had generated intense excitement across Nigeria’s entertainment scene, lived up to its billing as fans watched the two entertainers settle their rivalry inside the ring.
Carter Efe emerged victorious after three entertaining rounds, earning a unanimous decision from all three judges.
His superior reach, movement, and ring control proved too much for Portable, who had entered the contest full of confidence after previous exhibition wins.
Moments after the fight, E-Money publicly announced the cash gift while congratulating the comedian on his performance.
According to him, promises are meant to be kept, and Carter had earned every naira of the reward with his commanding display.
The event’s organiser, Ezekiel Adamu of Balmoral Group, praised the fighters and fans for making the night a memorable success, promising even bigger spectacles in future editions.
Before the fight, Portable had boldly predicted another victory, hoping to add to his previous wins over fellow entertainers.
But when the bell rang, Carter Efe controlled the action from start to finish, silencing doubters and walking away as the latest celebrity boxing champion.
