After enduring months of resistance, the Department of State Service (DSS) has finally allowed an independent medical doctor to examine Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Kanu, who had previously raised concerns about his health condition, including claims of congestive cancer, had faced obstacles in accessing medical attention outside of DSS supervision.
Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu’s lead counsel, confirmed the breakthrough, noting the persistence of the legal team in securing this examination. This development marks a significant step forward in addressing Kanu’s health concerns amidst ongoing legal proceedings.
