The Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria (ELFON) has threatened nationwide protests in response to the recent increase in fuel prices. During an emergency meeting, National President Godstime Chukwubuikem Samuel expressed concern over what he described as a cabal undermining President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
He criticized the president for not dismissing Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director of NNPCL, stating, “If President Tinubu refuses to heed our demands… we will have no choice but to force Mele Kyari out of office.” He further emphasized the urgency of mobilizing Nigerian youth for demonstrations against the fuel price hikes, vowing to occupy the NNPCL headquarters if necessary
