This decision emerged from the South-East Governors Forum meeting in Enugu, attended by Governors Hope Uzodinma, Dr. Alex Otti, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru, and host Governor Peter Mbah.
In their communiqué, the Forum expressed condolences to the families and states affected by the passing of Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu. They also received a delegation led by Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and discussed implementing security and economic integration strategies from the South East Security and Economic Summit. The governors resolved to visit the President to discuss pressing regional issues, including Nnamdi Kanu’s release.
