In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court has dismissed the Labour Party’s petition challenging the re-election of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Justice Garba Lawal affirmed the Court of Appeal’s decision, declaring the appeal unmeritorious. The apex court also ruled that parties should bear their respective costs. This marks the final legal confirmation of Sanwo-Olu’s victory in the governorship election.
