Radiant diGiLog offers digital solution to logistics operational gaps

An indigenous technology firm, Radiant diGiLog, says its workforce management platform is helping logistics companies improve operational visibility, reduce delivery delays and strengthen workforce coordination.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Radiant diGiLog, Mrs Tayo Babatunde, said this in a statement on Monday in Lagos.

Babatunde said the platform, launched in June, was available in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and Canada, with a complimentary 30-day trial for businesses.

She said delayed deliveries, missed assignments and communication gaps could negatively affect customer experience if not properly managed.

According to her, one fast-growing logistics company evaluating the platform sought to improve visibility across employees who spend most of their working hours outside the office.

She said dispatch teams, drivers and field supervisors previously relied on phone calls, WhatsApp messages and manual attendance records for operational updates.

Babatunde said managers often struggled to determine staff attendance, completed deliveries, employee availability for reassignment and causes of operational delays.

She said obtaining timely and reliable operational information became more difficult as businesses expanded.

According to her, the pilot deployment enabled participating firms to assess how an integrated workforce management platform could improve coordination without disrupting existing operations.

She said the trial covered attendance management, rota planning, task allocation, workforce communication, operational reporting and live vehicle tracking.

Babatunde said the platform provided supervisors with a single operational dashboard for monitoring field personnel and operational assets.

She said managers participating in the trial reported easier access to operational information through one platform instead of multiple communication channels.

According to her, the platform enables managers to monitor staff attendance, task progress, vehicle locations and field activities, improving coordination and response to operational demands.

Babatunde quoted a supervisor as saying that consolidating operational information into one platform had significantly improved decision-making speed.

She added that the free trial had encouraged participating organisations to standardise routine processes across teams and locations, promoting greater operational consistency.

According to her, operational excellence depends not only on hardworking teams but also on managers having timely visibility into employees, vehicles and business processes.

She said businesses managing geographically dispersed workforces would achieve greater productivity by improving operational clarity.

Babatunde said Radiant diGiLog, developed in Nigeria, was designed to replace manual systems such as paper records, spreadsheets and multiple WhatsApp groups commonly used by small and medium-sized enterprises.

She said the platform integrated attendance management, workforce activities, reporting, task execution and productivity monitoring within a single digital environment.

According to her, the platform also maintains objective performance records by logging assigned, completed and outstanding tasks, enabling managers to assess employee performance over time.
