Lagos, Nov. 23, 2025. Mrs Rebecca Adeyemo, the Director of Education, Trinity International College, Ofada, has attributed the school’s 30 years of existence to excellence, describing it as a culture shaped by the school’s vision, mission and values.

Speaking at the College’s 30th anniversary thanksgiving held on Sunday in the College multi-purpose hall, Adeyemo said the institution’s culture guided past and current students toward disciplined habits, positive learning attitudes and strong character development.

According to her, the system shapes students from the moment they enroll, drawing from her twenty-five years of experience

She urged them to pursue excellence as a continuous lifestyle rather than as an occasional act.

Adeyemo noted that excellence reflected in daily habits, disciplined practice and consistent effort, stressing that it was beyond certificates, to reveal character, responsibility and the determination to be the best always.

“Our vision, mission and values remain the compass guiding everything we do, shaping our culture and uniting students, teachers, members of staff as well as parents.

“Excellence is not about certificates; it is a character expressed through discipline, daily habits and a commitment to always becoming better,” she added.

Delivering a sermon, Mr Olusegun Osunsan, a pastor from the Redeemed Christian Church of God, spoke on legacy and excellence, describing legacy as inheritance from predecessors and excellence as proven quality with visible results.

Osunsan said Trinity International College had exemplified excellence through consistent achievements.

He attributed the school’s success to God, referencing Psalm 127, verse 1, ‘`Except the Lord builds the house, the labour in vain that build it”.

He urged the people to place God at the centre of all decisions, noting that life’s pursuits became meaningful and prosperous when guided by divine wisdom, obedience and dependence on God’s enabling grace.

The priest cautioned against pride, encouraging humility and gratitude as essential virtues for sustained excellence, added that God expects individuals to cultivate these qualities to excel in personal, academic and professional endeavours.

In his remark, Mr Samuel Olatunji, Overall Chairman, Board of Trustees, Trinity Group, said that the college’s journey reflected determination, prayer and strategies executed by credible hands with clear purpose.

According to him, the 30 years of Trinity International College demonstrate that determination, prayer and credible strategies guide success.

“Progress requires commitment and purposeful execution”.

Olatunji noted that sustaining progress required collective effort, adding that schools must maintain strong security structures, regularly reviewed and reinforced, while government provides infrastructure and fulfills its responsibility to protect educational institutions.

He expressed concern that security challenges had worsened in the last 10 to 15 years, with schools targeted by miscreants, urging families, churches, communities and authorities to work together to restore safety and societal values.

“Schools becoming targets reflect societal decay; all stakeholders must unite to restore safety, protect and secure our children,” the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Trinity Group noted.

Earlier, Prof, Abayomi Arigbabu, the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, said Trinity International College had demonstrated excellence through regional, national and international laurels, alongside exceptional JAMB performance reflecting teachers’ resilience.

Arigbabu said the college’s alumni excelled across continents, carrying the Trinity spirit globally.

He noted that every classroom remained a gateway to a brighter future built on critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration.

“I am confident that Trinity College will continue to inspire excellence, nurture future leaders, and contribute meaningfully to building a more prosperous, innovative, and united Nigeria,” he added.

He commended the school for embracing innovative teaching methods integrating technology and life-skills, partnerships offering internships and mentorship, and physical activities promoting healthy living that nurture students’ minds and bodies holistically.

According to him, every classroom is a doorway to opportunity, and through innovation and character, our children become agents of change.

Arigbabu, who was represented by the Director, Department of Quality Assurance and Teachers Development, Miss Mary Duze, said the college’s commitment to holistic development aligned with the state’s agenda of quality education for all.

Similarly, Osasenaga Abe, Winner of the Best Student of the Year Award, said the recognition surprised her, adding, “I encourage others to stay confident, believe in themselves and resist peer pressure.”

The event celebrated members of staff with long service awards and honoured students, recognising their outstanding contributions, academic excellence, and exceptional achievements in extracurricular activities, reflecting Trinity College’s culture of excellence.

Elon Musk Becomes First Trillionaire in History Elon Musk has reportedly crossed a historic financial threshold, becoming the first individual to reach a net worth above $1 trillion, following the public listing of SpaceX. SpaceX, Musk’s aerospace company, began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX, opening at $135 per share before rising sharply to about $165 in early trading. The surge lifted the company’s valuation beyond $2 trillion, driven by strong investor demand at launch. Prior to the IPO, Musk’s estimated wealth stood at roughly $813 billion. The increase in SpaceX’s market value pushed his total net worth past the trillion-dollar mark, according to financial reports tracking billionaire valuations. The milestone further distances Musk from other global billionaires, with his fortune now exceeding that of several top-ranking figures combined on global wealth indices. SpaceX now joins the upper tier of publicly traded companies in the United States, alongside tech giants such as Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, and Nvidia in total market value. The company continues to expand its reach through Starlink, its satellite internet service, and xAI, its artificial intelligence venture behind the Grok chatbot, reinforcing Musk’s influence across multiple high-growth technology sectors. The development underscores the accelerating financial impact of space commercialization and artificial intelligence in shaping modern global markets.
