U.S. President Donald Trump has offered his reaction to the reported engagement of pop singer Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce.
Speaking during a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Trump was asked by a reporter to comment on the couple’s engagement. In response, he praised both Swift and Kelce.
“Travis is a great player and a great guy,” Trump said. “Taylor is a terrific person. I wish them a lot of luck.”
This marks a shift in tone from previous remarks. In September 2024, Trump publicly expressed his dislike for Swift after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris during the presidential campaign. Later, in May 2025, he made headlines again by saying Swift was “no longer hot.”
