Kamuli LC5 Chairperson Dies in Tragic Road Accident on Kayunga Road

Kayunga, Uganda – June 12, 2025 – Uganda is mourning the untimely death of the Kamuli District LC5 Chairperson, who tragically passed away in a fatal road accident along Kayunga Road. The incident occurred as he was en route to collect nomination forms ahead of the upcoming local elections.

Authorities confirmed the accident happened early Thursday morning, causing shockwaves across the district and beyond. The LC5 Chairperson, known for his commitment to community development and strong leadership, was widely respected for his service and vision for Kamuli.

Residents from Kayunga, where the fatal accident took place, expressed deep sorrow. One local witness said, “The nation is at great loss. Such otherwise good leaders could have delivered more if they had operated under stronger and more transparent systems. He was one of the smartest minds we had in this land. May God judge him with mercy.”
