2027: Wicked Spirit, Jackal — Pastor Chris Triggers Debate on Presidential Candidates
The founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has stirred strong reactions after sharing what he described as a spiritual revelation about Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election.
Speaking in a church service that later went viral, the cleric said he received insight about three major presidential contenders.
He noted that he respects all of them and believes they have contributed to the country, but insisted he could not ignore what he said he saw spiritually.
“Each one of them is somebody that I have great respect for. Make no mistakes about it, I like these guys,” he said. He added, “These are wonderful people who have done a lot for our country.”
However, his message took a more controversial turn when he described one of the candidates in symbolic spiritual terms.
“it was a devil, a devil’s spirit, a wicked spirit was wearing his face,” he said, adding that the figure was being influenced in ways the candidate himself may not fully understand.
He further used the term “the jackal is cut off,” which he explained as a reference linked to deception and trickery.
On another candidate, he warned starkly, “you will have no country,” a statement that drew immediate attention from viewers online.
Describing the third figure, he said, “he was afraid, he was afraid he might win… almost scared of winning,” before adding, “I pray to the God of heaven, give him wings to fly,” a line many interpreted as symbolic of uncertainty around leadership readiness.
Pastor Chris emphasized that he was not publicly endorsing or attacking any candidate, but speaking based on what he believed he saw spiritually.
He urged prayers for the nation, saying the matter was too sensitive for names to be openly declared.
The remarks have since triggered widespread debate on social media, with Nigerians divided over the meaning, timing, and implications of the prophecy ahead of the 2027 elections.
