Shehu Sani Condemns Colonial Mentality in Protocol During Harry and Meghan’s Visit

Former lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has criticized the recent visit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Nigeria, denouncing the displayed protocol as “obsequiousness and colonial mentality.”

Despite appreciating the couple’s rebellious attitude, Sani finds the official reception “utterly disgusting.” This marks the first joint visit of Harry and Meghan to Nigeria, where they were escorted in a blacked-out minibus, prompting scrutiny over colonial-era practices.
