Unarguably, fashion tastes differ in preferences of what people perceive as nice or good looking. That does not mean that how everyone is fashioned can be declared as stylish. Fashion actually goes beyond how someone dresses and how they look. Fashion is a lifestyle. This week, we will look at a stylish man in fashion as a lifestyle.
A stylish man keeps his hair neat; the hair is a huge part of afro-centric fashion. Back in the days, the hair was a symbol of power, personality and hierarchy. The hair should be kept neat even by men, this entails keeping your taste or choice of hairstyle in shape whether dreadlocks, Afro, cornrows, bald, English cut, table cut or any other hair-do, neat by frequent maintenance. A stylish man takes time to clean up his hair and provides possibility, gets products that will keep his hair on point.
A stylish man is clean; man, in order to be stylish observes rules of hygiene. Where he lives is pleasantly kept, his laundry is frequent and at the same time, his shoes are fresh. A stylish man dresses neatly; a stylish man will not have a messy matching of his attires. A stylish man will also not be caught up in scruffy dressing. Whether you prefer to have tucked in shirts, saggy pants, ankle length pants, maxi male dresses and others, being stylish means being neat. This can be done by following hygiene rules, frequent laundry, being trendy and generally having a sense of fashion that doesn’t allow uncaring matching of clothes.
A stylish man is hardworking; how else will a man keep up with trends, maintain neat hairstyles or products to help him keep clean? It is by working hard and working smart hence finding fiscal means to keep up with being fashionably stylish. To add on, a lazy man is unattractive, it is just not sexy.
A stylish man is firm; it is stylish for a man to be firm in his fashion taste, choice of trends, as well as other decisions like hard work, smart work, and generally his stance in work. However that does not mean a man should not be open to criticism, others’ opinions or even learning everyday. It is just ideally stylish to be firm as a man. A stylish man is circumcised; in the spirit of being healthy, clean and stylish, a man ought to be circumcised. Uncircumcised peoples are unattractive. It is also unhealthy for sexual partners if any. Circumcision is biblically advised. Generally keeping healthy is stylish.
A stylish man is courteous; a stylish man gives courtesy everywhere he is and to all that he is. A stylish man should have courtesy of fashion and not demerit other people’s fashion tastes. A stylish man understands fashion is diverse and has no limits. A stylish man is courteous in dealing with other people and has respect for women, that’s attractive. It is unstylish and unattractive for a man to have bad conduct in public towards everyone, it is not manly as some people perceive it and it is not stylish.
Stylish men hit the world differently. Many assume style and fashion is only for women parting out the thought that sass is a lifestyle. Here are some of the stylish men among many others that forge admirable fashion and lifestyle.
A stylish man who keeps up with the latest trends is the first black (African-American) president of the United States, Barak Obama. He has frankly worn his tuxedos with class and ambiance. Obama is also trendy in his looks. For instance he and his wife, Michelle Obama, whom he adores have garbed afro fab fashion from dashikis to fitenges as well as Somali attires. He is also a very courteous man.
An example of a stylish man that keeps his hair neat is Burna boy. The Nigerian award winning artist recently appeared at the Grammy Awards of 2021 where he got an award on best global music album. He was pop cultured with his dreadlocks, twisty styled. The artist never went wrong with labels like Burberry and Versace while usually keeping it Afrik style.
Even comedians can be stylish. Being a comedian doesn’t necessarily mean having strange makeup and an understandable outfit. Two of our stylish comedian men are Kevin Hart and Trevor Noah. Both men are spotlessly trendy and genteel. Kevin Hart has always fashioned his appearances on shows, events and others. The African American seem to have updated his looks this year (2021), like on his hit show, the game show, while starring in many hit movies.
The south African now living in the U.S, Trevor Noah has never flanked his fashion sense. The biggest statement recently was his host of the 63rd Grammy awards when his tux and afro hair was part of the highlights of the show. It takes being firm and hard work to host and win a Grammy. These comedians look good in shape and so, seem to workout.
Another stylish man is the Ghanaian Jason Jermaine founder of Jermaine blue designs. Jason Jermaine appears chicly and clean in his trendy ready to wear designs paraded in a lot of fashion platforms
