Afrobeats is set to make a major impact at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with some of Nigeria’s biggest music stars featured on the tournament’s official album.
FIFA recently unveiled the 18-track World Cup album, bringing together artists from across the globe for what it describes as its most ambitious music project yet. Among the featured Nigerian acts are Burna Boy, Davido, Ayra Starr, and Rema.

Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy teams up with Colombian superstar Shakira on the official World Cup theme song, Dai Dai. He is also expected to perform the song alongside Shakira at the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico.
Ayra Starr appears on Show Me with American rapper Latto, while Rema collaborates with Lisa and Anitta on Goals, a fusion of Afrobeats, K-pop, and Latin pop. Davido also joins Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado on No Place Like Home.
The album highlights the growing global influence of Afrobeats and reflects FIFA’s effort to unite football fans through music and culture.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will be the largest in the tournament’s history, featuring 48 teams and more than 100 matches.
