Chelsea Sack Rosenior After Four-Month Spell
Chelsea have parted ways with manager Liam Rosenior, bringing an abrupt end to his short stint at Stamford Bridge.
The decision was made on Wednesday evening, less than 24 hours after the Blues suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brighton in the Premier League.
The result left Chelsea sitting seventh on the table, dealing a setback to their ambitions of finishing in the top four.
Rosenior had only taken charge in January after leaving Strasbourg, stepping in as successor to Enzo Maresca.
His time at the club, however, proved brief and challenging, with the team struggling to find rhythm during a crucial phase of the season.
The club moved quickly to confirm his departure, closing the chapter on a four-month spell that ultimately failed to deliver the expected turnaround.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also reported the development, noting that the decision was immediate.
Chelsea are now expected to appoint an interim manager as they regroup and plan their next move for the remainder of the campaign.
