India’s leading humanitarian organization, the Chinmaya Foundation has continued to raise awareness about Covid-19 and distributing relief food and materials to communities hard hit by the raging pandemic. Last week, the foundation joined the Odisha state in celebrating a week long agricultural mass festival locally known as Raja or odia.
During this week of celebration, the Chinmaya Foundation raised awareness about Covid-19 in surrounding areas including Babalpur, Dasharathpur block and Jajpur district.
The foundation also distributed materials such as facemasks, blankets, soap and hand sanitizers to locals who gathered at Mangalpur.
Interacting with community leaders who organized the Raja Week, Chinmaya Foundation National Chairperson, Mr. Chinmaya Dash reteriarrated his organizations commitment to serving communities especially through raising awareness on issues of public concern and interest.
Notable among those who attended the foundation’s community meetings which were held with strict adherence to public health guidelines included Chairperson, Mr. Chinmaya Dash, Vice-chairperson, Mr.Surendra Pandav, Secretary, Mr. Shashikanta Nayak, Asst.Secretary, Mr.Bhikari charan Mallick, Treasurer, Ms. Madhusmita among other members of the foundation.
