The Court of Appeal in Lagos Division has reversed the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal’s decision that initially dismissed Amobi Ogah’s election as the representative for Isikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in Abia State. The tribunal had invalidated his election due to non-compliance with the Electoral Act and declared Nkeiruka Onyejeocha as the winner. However, the Court of Appeal recently upheld Mr. Ogah’s appeal, setting aside the tribunal’s decision and affirming his election victory.
