NIGERIA: Pastor Adeboye Criticizes Brides Who Wear Makeup, Says They Doubt God’s Perfect Creation

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), strongly criticized women who apply makeup before their weddings, stating they are foolish and express disbelief in God’s perfect creation.

Speaking at the RCCG ministers’ conference during the National Convention on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Adeboye remarked that these women are attempting to improve on what God has already made, which he deemed impossible.

He emphasized, “When God created you, He did a great job… you are special.” Adeboye condemned the practice, suggesting it reflects a desire to emulate worldly behaviors. “When you begin to paint, and you think you can improve on what God has already done, you are a fool. You can never improve on what God has done”.
